Stuff Leo Likes: Steven St. Croix's Porn Star: Everything you want to know and are embarrassed to ask.

Here is the second part of my "Stuff Leo Likes" review. Steven St Croix's "Porn Star-Everything You Want To Know and Are Embarrassed To Ask ." Imagine going to a smoky lounge where there isn't a lot of people around and as the bar starts to slow down even more you end up striking a long, funny and thought-provoking conversation with one of the adult industries most sought after performers/directors. That's the feeling this book invokes that "Let's just sit down have some have hot wings and shoot the shit and hopefully you'll learn something about me and my profession" kind of feeling.

If you're looking for a seedy tell-all, you're out of luck. Mr.St. Croix is nothing but honest and at times very reflective not just on the adult industry but on his life in general. At times as I was reading this book, I found myself laughing out loud. The one thing that is apparent in this book is Mr.St. Croix's sense of humor. It's like talking with a guy who seen and done it all but hasn't allowed life to beat him up or make him jaded. It also pulls back the curtain on an industry that for some, we hate but secretly love. (All you closet freaks, I'm talking to you!) Mr.St. Croix shows that the adult industry is just that,-an industry. With it's up's, down's, left and right turns. In the end, it's all about how you choose to drive your car and most importantly which route you take.

One of the things that I found the most endearing was Mr. St. Croix's humanity. He is not arrogant but very approachable in his tone and even after finishing the book there was still more you wanted to know and uncover about him, his life even his "everyday habits." Overall, I thought it was a great read. As a person who for a time seriously considered a career in the adult industry (Yes, I thought about getting my Jenna Jameson on) It made me see that the life of a adult performer is simply what you make of it. The only downside to this book is that it is too short. If you can get past that then sit down and be prepared to listen, laugh and think. Cheers to you, Steven St. Croix you've done very, very well.

Hugs and Hersey Kisses, Leo :)
